I’m a singer songwriter, guitarist, based in Island Bay, Wellington, Aotearoa New Zealand.
Born in England, I moved to Australia. My first instrument was Flugelhorn in a Cadet Band. At age 13, I found an old half size guitar at school and taught myself how to play. Joined a band at 15 and that was it, I had to be a musician, it was my passion, much to my parents’ horror.
I started writing songs and have been writing, singing and performing ever since.
I’ve recorded 5 albums with different bands and a few EPs under various titles. I’ve performed in the United States and Australia, toured the east coast of Australia from Tasmania to Rockhampton and have played at many festivals.
My music is an eclectic mix of old timey Americana and contemporary folk.
You can listen to and purchase my most recent solo albums Live in the kitchen and Bury me deep. I wrote and performed all the songs on the albums, recorded by Scott Collins at NoiseLab in Bellingen, NSW, Australia with support from wonderful musicians.
Watch Stranger on a train, from Live in the kitchen, performed with the VAS Brothers in Australia, and Peter Clarke’s video of the track Love is a terrible thing from Bury me deep
I’m now living and plying my trade in Wellington, the coolest little capital with a great music scene. Here is my My Facebook page.
Cheers
Vic
